Removing the filter on the homepage's featured image

I need to make my homepage’s featured image a bit brighter. I know there is a filter in place. How do I remove that or make it lighter?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
You are correct, there is an opacity element adjusting the image. Try adding this code to your custom CSS. If you do not have the ability to change your CSS you may consider upgrading to a Premium or Business plan.
.has-background-cover .overlay { opacity: 0.4; }The higher the opacity number the darker the image. You can adjust the opacity number as you see fit.
Hope this helps.

Dear hlbecker:
Thanks for the suggestion. It worked! I guess to decrease the opacity even more you can increase/ decrease the 0.4……
