    Hi,

    I am trying to design a professional looking e-shop on my site http://www.ukjellyfish.wordpress.com however these “read more” buttons are not aiding me!

    on my homepage after my posts there is a little button “read more” that i would like to get rid of. is this possible? i was hoping someone would have a CSS code for this!

    Also there is a box at the bottom of the page that is titled “leave a reply” is there any chance i can get rid of this too?

    Thanks So much, Rory.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    This will hide that read more button on the main page.

    .home .more-link {
        visibility: hidden;
    }

    For the “leave a reply” section at the bottom of pages, no CSS is needed. Open the pages in the editor, click on screen options at top right and click to show the Discussion module. Scroll down on the editor page and in the discussion module, uncheck both boxes there and then click to update the page.

    Hello! I was having the same inquiry and I tried to do exactly what was suggested but it hasn’t worked on my pages.
    My website is sensory resonance.com.
    Can anyone assist me further with that?
    Thank you!

    You do not seem to have the Custom Design upgrade, so you cannot save CSS codes to your blog.

    Interesting because I just got the customized blog and the screen options appear to me on the top right side of the page and I intake the ‘comments’ box and it still doesn’t work…
    Any ideas what could not be working?

    @marinanina79, you have a combination of posts and pages, so to turn the comments off on posts, you open the posts in the editor, go to Screen Options at top right and make sure Discussion is checked. Then scroll down below the content area in the editor and in the Discussion module, deselect both options there and then update your post.

    Alternately, you can edit a number of pages or posts by using the Bulk Edit feature. It works the same for posts and for pages.

    You do the same for pages, such as your About and Dance page only you open those in the page editor.

    If you want to disable comments for all future posts and pages you publish, you can go to Settings > Discussion and disable comments there. You can override that setting on a post by post and page by page basis if you have posts or pages in the future that you would want to allow comments on.

    Hi, How to link Read more button to a page?
    many thx

    @loftusss, the site associated with your username is using Twenty Fourteen and has no content. Can you give us a link to the site you are talking about please?

    In general, the read more links only appear on posts, not on pages, and to change that behavior, you would have to edit the theme php files, and we cannot do that at WordPress.com.

    Great Tip on Removing “leave a reply”. Thanks

    @loftusss, read more is only for posts, not for pages, but you can use Pagination in pages.
