I don’t wish to have these on all of the pages of my wordpress site.

I am using a free template so this may be problematic but I am unsure. Still learning the ropes on the ol wordpress.

    Any help would be great.

    cheers.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

From your Dashboard click on Settings then Sharing. You’ll see an option called Show buttons on. Uncheck anything you don’t want the “Share This” links to show up on.

Okay, since evidently you are the jedi of wordpress and helped me in my prior question (thanks again, by the way!)

Can a simple entry page be added to the site to click through to the site? a la http://www.tomdicillo.com?

Yes, you can set a static front page for your site.

I followed those directions and now have a home page that has the text i like but it is not a click-thru entry page as I would like.

I basically just want a title page that you click the center image to enter the main site area.

Right now it is just a different home page instead of the blog portion.

You aren’t getting this. The front page of your blog AKA “Home” is the running page for posts. There must be a page for posts to display on on the blog. To create a static front landing page you must create two pages. One will be the new front page (landing page) for the blog. The other will be the running page for posts to display on “Blog”. After you have created those two pages you need to go here > Settings > Reading and correctly designate the pages your created as described here.

    > Settings > Reading
    Reading Settings
    Front page displays
    Your latest posts

__ A static page (select below)
    Front page:
    Posts page:

    Click “save changes” when done.

I did all of that awhile ago. My landing page is marked as home and is static while my posts page is marked as news.

However, this still isn’t what I am trying to do.

What I want is how http://www.tomdicillo.com is arranged with the entrance page.

Am I missing some key part of your advice because i’ used those instructions last night but that isn’t ideally what I am looking to do.
