Removing the wordpress.com in the url
-
Hello – I have been researching options but no clear answer yet. I have a free wordpress site. Is there an upgrade available that allows the site to remove the ‘wordpress.com’ at the end of the URL? I currently own the domain through GoDaddy, and it simply forwards everything to the free wordpress site at the moment.

Hello!
You can remove “wordpress.com” from your domain name by selecting a desirable plan for your site from here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/.
You can register a domain for your site by following the steps mentioned in the guide here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/register-domain/.
Moreover, you can also transfer your existing GoDaddy domain to your WordPress.com site you can do so by following the steps mentioned in the guide here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/incoming-domain-transfer/.
Let me know if you have any further questions!
