    Hi @ofthehiraeth,
Go to My Sites -> Themes and search for a new theme. When you find one you like click on the three dots on the bottom right corner of the theme icon and then click Activate. The new theme you have chosen will then replace the current theme.

    Hey @lastfarthing
Thank you for your reply. really kind of you. but I would like to know how to remove themes completely. Not how to replace them.

Hmm. I guess I’m not sure what you mean @ofthehiraeth.
If an inactive theme is still showing up under My Sites -> Themes -> Uploaded Themes then you can click on the ellipsis (the … ) and then click on delete.

  • Just to clarify, as lastfarthing mentions, it’s not possible to remove themes. You need to choose one theme to be active, as it’s an essential part of how WordPress functions.

under the theme ‘harmonic’, when people come to my site they usually click on the Menu to see what’s going on as the list of posts is too low and practically nobody knows they are there. How could I raise this list so that it’s apparent when the Home Page is viewed? Should I change the theme?

    my site: alpineanomalous.wordpress.com

    thanks!

  • alpineanomalous – Harmonic is designed so that if you opt to display the Title panel, it takes up the full screen. You could choose to hide that panel in the Customizer‘s Theme Options panel, under Visibility. Check the box next to “Hide Title Section” – that’ll pull your list of posts to the top.

Otherwise, you can choose a theme that is designed without a full panel above the posts. You could take a look at Afterlight, for example:

If you need further help, please start a new thread and we’d be glad to lend a hand. That way, the other folks in this thread won’t receive email notifications about a question unrelated to the original post. Thanks!
