Removing those darned ever-increasing threaded/nested comments indentations

    Hi,
    I wonder if anyone can or would be williung to help me. I am completely lost when it comes to CSS.

    I use the Chateau theme on my blog and I love everything about it except one thing which bugs me to no end.

    I like the threaded/nested comments feature as it affords readers the opportunity to see the progression in comment based conversations but on this theme it automatically indents each cnested comment so that in the end you end up with a long series of very short sentence displayes.

    Is there anyway I can keep the threaded/nested comments feature but lose those darned indentations or even better have every one simply indented to the same place?

    I hope someone can help.
    Many thanks
    Kevin.

    Well, this is sort of what nested comments are. If there is no visual indications of the nesting, what is the use in doing it? With no indent, or just a single indent, all evidence of nesting disappears which effectively means no nesting.

    The CSS below reduces the amount of indent considerably (half of what it was), but still maintains a visual indication of the nesting. If this still doesn’t work for you, then disable nesting, or decrease the number of levels at settings > discussion.

    `#comments li, #comments li.depth-2, #comments li.depth-3 {
    margin-left: 40px;
    }

    I missed one of my code tags. Copy and paste the below instead:

    #comments li, #comments li.depth-2, #comments li.depth-3 {
    margin-left: 40px;
    }
