Removing title in CSS in Hemingway Theme (cannot find page template)
-
Hi
I am an absolute newbie to CSS, so apologies if this is an obvious question. I am trying to remove the title on my static home page. I have upgraded to be able to customise the CSS. In dashboard when I go to appearance/customize and then select CSS on the right hand menu I cannot see any options such as ‘page template’ etc, which I am reading on various posts should be there. It is just one single page.
What am I doing wrong? How do I remove the title from my home page?
Thanks!

You do not have access to page templates for a WordPress.com site. If you want to access those types of customizations, you’ll need to switch to a WordPress.org self-hosted site. You can read more about that here: http://wordpress.org/support/

Although you don’t have direct access to the theme files – as supportmyoffice mentioned above – you can definitely do that type of tweak on WordPress.com. :-)
I see that you’ve already purchased the Custom Design upgrade.
If you’re trying to remove the page title “Welcome” on the homepage, here’s what you need to do.
In your dashboard under Appearance > Customize, click the CSS tab and add this code:
.entry-title { display: none; }If you’re trying to do something else, just let us know and we’ll be glad to help.
