Removing underlining from links

Hello. I could use your help. How do I remove the underlining on my links from the text widgets in the sidebar, without using CSS. The website is http://lawinquebec.wordpress.com/

    Thank you.

I don’t think you can do it without CSS, but you don’t need to pay for the upgrade.

When you write the HTML for your links in the text widget, include the style instruction with the link like so:

    <a style="text-decoration: none;" href="http://coolwebsite.com"> text </a>

Note: you have to include the style instructions in every link.

Thank you. That did the trick. The links are no longer underlined.

I just wished I could highlight in bold a word or a phrase that would give readers a clear indication of the link — something I was able to do before I switched to a new theme.

To bold the link add “font-weight:bold;” to the link, to change the color “color: green;”. (Or what ever you want the color to be– you can also use a hex code. ) These are both additional style elements so they go inside the one set of quotation marks for style and are separated by the semi-colons. Don’t use the additional quotation marks. I just used them in this response to indicate the exact syntax.
