removing white box where "front page title" should go
-
Hi,
I’m hoping to remove the white box behind the front page title – over the featured image on my homepage. I’m on a free plan – is it possible to do this? I’ve removed the title, but now there is just a white box over my featured image.
Thanks,

Hi Ally, you’d need Custom CSS to remove the box, which is available with the Premium or Business plans.
You might consider giving Dara a try instead of Sela. They are sisters, but Dara has a front-page slider instead of the “hero” box.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi how would I remove the whole box including text inside? I made the box transparent but I can’t remove the text inside. Thanks!

Hi dimityskye – is this the site you’re referring to? dimityskye.wordpress.com
I’m not seeing any text in the “hero” area, so looks like you may have gotten this sorted.

Of course you’re always welcome to post in the forums, but it’s better to start a new thread rather than tack your reply onto an old one where it might not be seen. Thanks!

Howdy!
If you are allowed to add custom css. Add below to get rid of both white box + nested text.
.front-page-content-area .with-featured-image { display: none !important; }Cheers!
