    How would I go about removing the white text box on my home page and moving the thin strip with the information in it down?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    All I want to show on my home page is the picture.

    The white text box is actually where your home page content would go, if you had any home page content. Are you going to have home page content? From an SEO (search engine optimization) standpoint, and the standpoint of visitors, it would be good to have at least a little introductory text or a welcome message there. Search engines don’t like pages with no content; they won’t index them.

    If you are going to have text on the main page, it is a good idea to have at least some sort of background behind it when you have a photographic background, since finding a text color that will work with the varied colors and values can be difficult.

    The above of course is just my opinion.

    To remove the text box:

    .home .hentry {
        background: none;
    }

    To move the footer bar down:

    #main {
    min-height: 400px;
    }
