Removing widgets

  I would like to remove the widgets from my theme sidebar. I followed instructions, which seem to be old. They said to go to Presentations and drag and drop the Meta widget. I don’t see “Presentations” and where I do find Meta in a list of widgets, there is no dragging and dropping to be had. Is there some new way to remove widgets. Also, the list indicates the widgets are not there, but there they are in the sidebar of the theme.

  Meta is still on the list of available widgets as well. What widgets are you trying to remove?
