Removing wordpress solicitations from dashboard

  Can you remove the VIP solicitation program and “I voted” Badge from my dashboard as soon as possible?

  Here are the reasons why:

  1. I think that you are providing the voting and political public with an informational service by offering the VIP content as a way to speak about their choices , that is, the public who intends to vote, the public who desires to tell the world that they voted, and the public who desires to say who or what they voted for.

  But I also think that you will find there are people who feel that voting is a private and personal choice, just like spirituality is, and they obtain the information in regards to legislature, election campaigns and election candidates through their own avenues and this should also be respected.

  2. The VIP program and voting badge are both content unrelated to my blog and so therefore, I would like the solicitation removed from my dashboard as soon as possible.

  There’s no way to remove the banner from your dashboard. However, you can minimize it by clicking on the arrow in the upper right hand corner.

  This is just a notice to make you aware of our partnership and the availability of the badge and does not affect what your readers will see on your site.

  Thank you again for your prompt explanations. Although I was not happy to see political content on my dashboard, I greatly appreciate your response so I could understand why it became there.

  I don’t rate through email solicitations, ie (clicking on conditions in an email solicitation), but suffice it to say I have really appreciated the support responses I’ve received from the wordpress.com support forum, and I wouldn’t be blogging on wordpress.com if I didn’t!
