Removing 'WordPress.com' from my Website
-
Hello WordPress Team,
I have a question about my website. I am trying to make my website domain:
http://www.flawlesspermanentmakeupbyelsa.com
I currently have my website as a ‘WordPress.com’ but am looking to get that removed so I have my business name as the main ‘.com’. Do I need to upgrade my current WordPress plan to do this? I already own the domain but am not sure if this is owned through WordPress.com or not. The current domain ‘www.flawlesspermanentmakeupbyelsa.com’ redirects to ‘https://flawlesspermanentmakeupbyelsa.wordpress.com/’ so what needs to be done for me to remove the ‘WordPress’ from my domain? Any help is greatly appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi flawlesspermanentmakeupbyelsa,
Check this page (https://en.support.wordpress.com/footer-credits/) for various option in footer-credit. If you are on a business plan then you can remove the footer credits all together.
thanks

Hi There!!
It looks like you have the domain mapped with WordPress.com but you are correct. In order to remove the WordPress.com part from your URL you will have to upgrade to one of the WordPress plans. Kindly see below the options you have:

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Cheers,

Hi flawlesspermanentmakeupbyelsa
At first, you need to upgrade your plan to any of our paid plans.
https://wordpress.com/pricing/Each paid plan comes with a free domain since you already own a domain you just need to map your existing domain.

Hi there,
flawlesspermanentmakeupbyelsa.com was registered by GoDaddy. In order to use this domain on WordPress.com, you need to map the domain to your WordPress.com site (flawlesspermanentmakeupbyelsa.wordpress.com)
For mapping your site, you need a paid upgrade. The cheapest plan is the Personal plan. You can head to https://wordpress.com/pricing/ and consider which plan is the best for your site.
Once you decide the plan you want, please purchase the plan and map your domain. The step by step instruction is here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/I hope this information helps you.
If you have further questions, please let me know. Thanks,

Hi flawlesspermanentmakeupbyelsa,
According to whois.com your domain is registered with GoDaddy.
Are you trying to change the way your domain is displayed after the redirect? If so you can find more information about mapping your domain here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
At the bottom of that support page there is a link for specific support with GoDaddy
Hope this helps!

Adding info:
I forgot to mention an important thing. If you decide to purchase the “Personal” plan, please kindly purchase the plan first before trying to map your domain. If you try to map your domain first, it will lead you to purchase “Premium” plan automatically. Please be aware of this!!
Thank you :)
