Removing wordpress.com link from blog post permalink

  Hi,

  Is the only way to remove the .wordpress.com section of a blog permalink to purchase a domain name upgrade and map my domain to my wordpress.com site?

  Are there any other ways to do this?

  You need to purchase a domain name and buy the domain mapping upgrade – no other way

  Or you could move off WordPress.COM – get your own host such as BlueHost and buy a domain name with that site – that is more expensive however and you need to maintain the software etc.
