removing/inserting photo to change size won't work

    I want to change the size of a photo already published, so I removed it from the post and re-inserted it, selecting the “large” size instead of medium. The image won’t show; instead it shows a link to the photo. I disabled that and it still won’t show in the post. any reason why? is this a cache problem?
