rename “front page”
-
Hello,
I use the theme “cutline” and would like to rename my front page (currently named “front page”). Adding a new page for posts doesn’t help, as the original front page is still displayed in the pages menu of the theme header. Does anyone know if I can rename the “front page”, or remove it?
Best wishes for 2008!!!

No, that’s just how it works with WordPress.com blogs. The “home” or “front page” is hardcoded into the themes, including Cutline; we don’t have access to be able to change it. Different themes display the text on the home page differently, so you could try a different theme and see if you can find one that works better for you. Otherwise you’ll have to settle for a static page or have a look at self-hosting with WordPress.org, where you can change it. Hope that helps.
