“Can Notepad open a file of 40mb whatever”
No – but jujedit can.
I’ve opened 200mb files and it claims 2gb.

My questions remain unanswered:
(1) To whom do the categories that I create belong? Are they not mine ?
(2) And how dare anyone muck with the name choices that I make for my categories by blocking my ability to change the category name slug if and when I change the category name?
(3) How does my blog benefit from this malarkey? -

I don’t even care about this too much (yet), but I want to keep bumping every now and then until someone answers timethief, haha

If you can rename your categories, you need to be able to change the slug. It is exactly the same principle as changing your post slug when you change the title of the post.
If we can’t change the slug because Matt thinks another input field would clutter up the dashboard, it would actually be better if they didn’t let us rename the categories, since at least that way we’d be guaranteed an appropriate URL.

Renaming the category should also change the slug. If it doesn’t, then its a bug and something that we will fix.
