Renaming Images

  Why am I unable to rename images in Media? I guess I’m fussy about filenames being kept neat. Is there some way I can rename images in Media?

  Hi,

  It’s easy to edit an image title. See the Attachment Details section of the Image Settings support page. What happens when you attempt to edit the title or name of an image?

  Hi there,

  Image filenames cannot be modified. If you want to change the filename of an image you’ll need to do that before you upload the image to the media library.

  Only image titles can be edited, as @musicdoc1 indicated above.
