renaming site

  Hi — I goofed and typed ‘cherriesandpitscom’ instead of ‘cherriesandpits’ as the name of my site. How do I switch it now? Thanks. Martha

  Hi there,

  You can change your blog address by following these instructions:
  – Go to My Sites > Domains
  – Click on your domain and then Edit Site Address
  – Click on Change Blog Address
  – Type the new domain name you wish to have (‘cherriesandpits’ in your case)

  Note: Don’t forget to read the warnings. You won’t get your old domain name back. This can’t be reversed.
  Changing the site address moves all your content from one URL to a brand new URL, and leaves an empty site at the old URL. Links to the old URL will no longer work, as the content is no longer on that site.

  Hmm – thanks. But when I click on Change Blog Address it tells me it does not exist or I do not have access to it…
