  I’m just playing with it, starting out — Can I delete the proposed name name and tentative URL and start afresh?

  Hi there,

  Are you talking about the site URL? For example https://example.wordpress.com?

  You can rename the “example” part if you like.

  https://wordpress.com/support/changing-site-address/

  You can also purchase your own domain, so it would be something like https://mycoolsite.com

  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/

  You can also delete your existing site and create a new one if you’d prefer.

  https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/
  https://wordpress.com/support/create-a-blog/
