Rendering a theme

  I’d like my site to look like the theme I’ve chosen, Sight, and I’m failing utterly to understand how that can be done, despite several days of effort.

  The Sight theme has a clever scrolling image bit at top (with text to the right on a yellow background, and the titles and text lie neatly to the right of photos in the posts below.

  Is what’s demonstrated at http://sightdemo.wordpress.com/ actually possible to duplicate, or must one purchase the design upgrade to match what is shown?
