  I’ve been out of the country and unable to renew my blog. Please, please tell me it’s not too late!

  Thank you, sniff sniff. I don’t care about the domain name so much. I just hope there’s a way to retrieve my articles.

  Your content is safe – just hidden a bit – the staff can help you remove the expired domain mapping and your URL will go back to http://acrookedmile.wordpress.com/

  You can try canceling the domain mapping in the Store>> My Upgrades and also setting the domain back to acrookedmile.wordpress.com/ – at I think Store >> Domains

  If that is what you want – confirm to the staff and they can help if you have trouble

  Staff will remove domain mapping for you when they work their way forward to this thread, I just want to make sure you understand that when domain mapping is removed all the content in the site has to be re-indexed by search engines again under the original underlying .wordpress.com URL. That takes months. Meanwhile every link to the content under the domain URLs will produce a 404 page not found error in the SERPs (search engine page results) and everywhere the domain URLs appear on the internet.

  I don’t follow everything above. At https://acrookedmile.wordpress.com, I get a message saying my blog’s domain expired 64 days ago. There’s a button to click if I want to “renew now.” I try to do that and enter my payment info etc., but I get a message saying “This blog is not subscribed to some of these products. Did you mean to purchase them?” I don’t know what “these products” are or how to purchase them. Shall I just wait for a moderator?

  I checked your site at https://acrookedmile.wordpress.com/ and the domain that expired is completely removed from that site now. If you still see that renewal message when you visit that site, please clear your browser’s cache. You’ll be able to continue using that free address for that site.
