renew a domain

    Apparently my domain expired although I had no notification of this happening! I need to renew it as soon as possible but as I log in it does not allow me to do so.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    madlyaddictive.com expired on June 4th of this year and is no longer registered with WordPress.com.

    I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore madlyaddictive.com to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back. If I am successful, I can send you a manual payment request form for you to repurchase the domain.

    I will let you know once I hear back from the registrar.

    hi ! I understand you are working on this issue for me but, I wanted to also let you know I have had this domain for many many years and have never had this problem. I never received notification of my domain expiring. That is a big issue. My site was ready to launch today and now I am losing time and money. I would have never let my domain expire had I known. This is extremely time sensitive. I appreciate your help but I would also like to say that this really puts me off of wordpress. Please let me know as soon as you can waht I can do to get this domain back.

    I understand your frustration. We do email you several times reminding you of the expiration date of your upgrades (Renewal notifications are sent out 60, 30, 7, and 1 day(s) before the domain is set to expire.). In fact, one of our staff members contacted you regarding your domain yesterday. Did you receive any of those emails?

    As a matter of fact I did receive his emails but I was already in contact with you about the issue so I thought it was easier to keep that communication going. You may not believe me but I am not lying to you when I tell you I received zero notification from WordPress. This site is my business something I have been working very hard on for a while. Right as I was ready to launch this happens. I would never let that happen being I am starting a business.

    I do believe you. I did check our email logs to verify that we sent them to your email on file, and see that we sent those emails to your gmail account (most recent emails were sent 5/3, 5/5,6/3 & 6/5). You can check WordPress.com in the search of your email to see if any of them come up.

    Sometimes, users with Gmail accounts have issues receiving our emails (emails go to spam folders or different tabs, etc.). I would check our support page to make sure that your account is set up to receive our emails moving forward:

    In regards to retrieving the domain, go ahead and reply to my staff partner’s email. She’s already been in touch with our registry partner in regards to retrieving the domain.

    Thank you for checking. Its so strange because I did search my emails just incase i missed it. I will look into that and check the support page. Thanks for your help and I will get in contact with your staff partner.
