Renew an expired domain (I bought it in wordpress.com)

  Hi guys!

  I’m trying to renew an expired domain http://demodayviajes.com (I bought it in wordpress.com, and the expired period was in february more or less), but I do not see the option in my WP dashboard. I can’t see the ‘grace period’ renewal option for this domain.

  This domain was registered within a free wordpress account (herramientaseo.wordpress.com).

  Could help anyone? Are there any possibility to renew

  I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore demodayviajes.com to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back. If I am successful, I can send you a manual payment request form for you to repurchase the domain.

  From what I saw, I do not believe it is yet in the redemption period. However, our registry partners will let me know if it is and if a fee is needed.

  Hello Darnell,

  I have had a similar issue. My credit card expired and therefore my automatic subscription failed. The emails were coming into my spam folder. Could you please tell me how to go about renewing it? The domain is http://www.duncancasey.com and was purchased on WordPress.

  I would greatly appreciate any help.

  Hey @collectingsundays,

  I checked with our registrar and collectingsundays.com is now in a redemption period. You can still renew your domain through us, but it is now a more expensive and complicated process to do so. Our registrar charges an $80 late renewal fee in addition to the $26 we charge to renew the domain. The good news is that this is still a chance of reclaiming the domain through this option.

  Your other option is to wait until the redemption period is over so that the domain becomes available for registration again. Domains are usually in redemption for approximately 80 days, but with this option, you run
  the risk of someone else jumping in front of you to purchase the domain before you get the chance.

  Please let me know if you want to proceed with paying the late renewal fee in the attempt to reclaim the domain name. This option is also time sensitive because the domain can be auctioned off to an expired domain bidder.

  I would suggest enabling the auto-renew option so that you will not have to worry about losing control over your domain in the future.
