renew cancelled domain

Hi,
It seems that my domain was cancelled while i was away. I recently renewed my upgrade, and thought that this would have taken care of the domaine. How can I renew the domaine?

blog.tedwardwines.com is not registered through WordPress.com, it is just mapped here. Domain Mapping is the upgrade you would purchase if you wanted to use a domain, or in your case a subdomain, registered elsewhere (GoDaddy or 1and1 for example) with your WordPress.com site.
It looks like WordPress.com Premium for http://tedwardwines.wordpress.com/ was renewed. so you just need to set up mapping for that subdomain again using these instructions:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-subdomain/
However, the WordPress.com user account that you are posting from is not the owner of that WordPress.com Premium upgrade.
Typically this happens because you ended up with a second WordPress.com user account at some point and THAT account is the one that was used to purchase the upgrade. You will need to log into that second account in order to set up Domain Mapping again.

Hello,
I am working with Karen, who you replied to on July 23rd, to renew/map the domain name “blog.tedwardwines.com”. The domain name itself will expire soon, and Karen and I were both under the impression that renewing the WordPress Premium account would renew the domain as well since the domain is part-and-parcel with the Premium plan.
When attempting to renew or map the domain, we are getting error messages that say there is another account that owns that domain name. Tedwardwines7119 is the other WordPress user account we use, but cannot map or renew blog.tedwardwines.com when logged in to that account. Please advise.

User kulrich is the owner of the upgrade that needs to be renewed.

Hi. We tried to renew through the kulrich user account and still got the same error message. Is there a way Word Press support can just renew the domain since it is approaching the expiration date?

We tried to upgrade via kulrich, and this still didn’t allow for the remapping of the domain.
We’re not sure what to try next.

Okay, I think this should be all sorted out now. Can you take a look? The mapping upgrade should now be renewed and under the kulrich account.
