  There appears to be no way to renew a domain for $18 without paying the additional $79 premium upgrade for the site which we do not need. Can you tell me how to just renew a domain?

  You can renew your domain (without adding the premium upgrade) here:

  Simply click Renew Now and follow the instructions as given.
