Renew domain link

    Hi,

    I requested a link for domain renewal when chatting with an expert 5 days ago. I am still awaiting renewel and am concerned as have had other emails through about offers on my old domain.

    Hi,

    Yes it is an expired domain, I was away walking with no connection when it expired unfortunately!

    The domain is http://www.longdayoff.com. I got an email through about renewing it for £22, but when I clicked on that link, I was unable to action this as I think I missed the deadline or something. A WordPress help person said they’d regenerate a renewal link for me, but it has been 5 days and I have received nothing.

    Hi longdayoff

    You domain status is under Redemption Period
    You can still renew the domain, but there is an $80.00 redemption fee required in addition to the normal renewal cost.

    Please note that during the redemption phase, domains can be included in expired-domain auctions, where another party can bid on your domain name. If the domain is claimed by someone else in an auction, you will not be able to renew. If you made a payment in an attempt to reclaim the domain out of redemption and were unsuccessful, you will get a refund.

    If you do not want to pay the redemption fee, you can wait until the domain is released but this is the riskier option because there is no guarantee you will be the first to register it again.

    Can you confirm you would like to go ahead and pay both of these costs?

    So what would the total cost be? It may be worth mentioning that I currently host my site elsewhere, so have no been purchasing one of the WordPress plans.

    longdayoff.com expired on 2017-06-13 and is currently in the redemption period:

    Domain Expiration

    We can still try to recover it but you will need to pay an $80 redemption fee as well as the regular domain renewal costs ($26). If you agree, I can generate a payment request and contact our domain registrar once it has been paid.

    If you don’t want to pay the fee you can wait until the domain is released, although the process can take 80 days or more. There are also no guarantees you will be the first person to register the domain again.

    Please let me know which option you prefer and we’ll go from there.
