renew domain name

  I updated my credit card, but then I got an email saying automatic renewal failed. When I finally find ‘me page (I think) it says, ‘manage my purchases’ and I click on that, but it only wants me to upgrade. it does not show ‘renew domain name’ anywhere. help!!!!!

  Hi there,

  I would be happy to assist you in renewing your subscription. However, the upgrade that was purchased is not associated with the account you contacted us from. Until recently, you were able to renew an upgrade that was under your account, but now only the owner of the upgrade can. To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into renewing the subscription upgrade. However, you should be able to renew the domain if logged into the account that owns the upgrade.

  Okay. Basically I did not understand a word you said. My domain yourbrainonpandas.com is used on my website The Panda Chronicles, which is hosted by Blue host. I had started the blog on wordpress.com, but for various reasons felt the need (god only knows why) to move to a hosted wordpress.org blog.
  To tell the truth, I don’t know which account I am trying to do this from. This may be part of the problem.
  my user name (email) I use for YourBrainOnPandas is my email address (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  The username I use for my other blogs, which are still on wordpress.com is cadmiumviolet. My other blogs are nothing overlooked.wordpress.com froggwell.wordpress.com and catchingwoozles.wordpress.com
  If I can’t figure this out, I will have to change my domain registration to blue host, which I find even more confusing, and worry that my blog will suddenly disappear.
  I hope you can help me.

  Also, even though I updated my credit card info a few days ago, I got an email that said that my auto-renew for my domain name had failed.

  I checked and the upgrade along with the sites you mention are under your waybetterthanworking gmail email. Do you remember the login credentials for that account?

  If not, since you still have access to the email connected to the account, you can enter that email address in the password recovery tool. Please check your spam folder for the recovery email if you don’t receive it in your inbox immediately:

  https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  Once you do that, you should be able to access the domain upgrade to renew.
