Renew Domain name, change from wordpress.com to wordpress.org at the same time

  My domain name will expire on 20 June and I have the option to renew for $5 plus $13 for mapping and $8 for Privacy. I am about to move my blog from WordPress.com to WordPress.org so I need to renew just the domain name registration – how do I arrange this please?

  Hi there, if you don’t mind your registrant details being publicly available in the whois domain database, you can remove the privacy option from your domain. You can do that by clicking “Cancel Private Registration” next to the domain under Store > My Upgrades:

  We don’t offer renewals at $5 – a .com domain costs $18 even if you’re no longer mapping the domain to a WordPress.com site. You are also welcome to transfer the domain to another registrar if you like.
