Renew domain: why one month less?

  Hello,

  I was warned that my domain would have expired on 9th of december, so I decided to pay the renew one month before the expiration.
  Once paid, I was been told that the next renew date will be on november 2015 so my question is: I’ve paid earlier and this is the gift? One month less?

  I’ve never seen such thing.

  Please at least bring the expiration date forward to december 2015. Thanks.

  Hi classicvirus,

  I just looked up your domain name, and it looks like the expiration date is set to 9 December 2015.

  I believe you’re getting the renewal date message because WordPress.com sets all domains to auto-renew one month early, in case of any problems. It can be quite difficult to get back a domain once it’s expired.

  You’ll still get a full year more, so don’t worry!
