Renew Domain with Existing Content

    Hi – I let my emilypickettcommunications.com domain expire but would like to renew it if the content I had created on that version of the site will still be there. The content on the free domain is not what I had on the paid version, and so I’m wondering if I’m able to recover that old content if I renew.

    emilypickettcommunications.com expired over a year ago and is no longer registered with us, but is still available to register again. You can go ahead and register the domain following the instructions on our support page:

    What particular content did you lose when your upgrades expired? I see that you had the Premium Plan, so did you lose features that were connected to that Plan (i.e., CSS)? If so, you should be able to restore that content if you also decide to repurchase the Premium Plan:

    Thank you. The content was the graphics, theme, copy, etc. I don’t see what when I look at the free domain version of the site, so I was not sure if it would become available if I were to re-register the domain.

    Ok, thanks for clarifying.

    Taking a closer look at your domain’s history, it looks like you changed the domain nameservers to Bluehost on 2019-01-16 and is likely where your site is being hosted now. Your website files and content should still be at Bluehost provided you renewed your hosting plan with them.

    I would reach out to Bluehost support to see where your site files might be (they’ll be under a temporary domain or IP address) and get their help in re-registering your domain and getting that associated with your WordPress installation again.

    Since it doesn’t appear we’ve been hosting your site since 2019, you would need to get further help from Bluehost here.
