Renew expired domain
-
I am looking to renew my domain that recently expired. I’m not too clear on how to do so. I believe it may be in the grace period. How can I confirm that and how do I renew it if it is in this period?

Hi there,
You did not mention the domain you are trying to recover, is it simonpaulblack.com?
If so it can be recovered but I will first need to invoice you for the registration fee before we can proceed. Please check your inbox for this invoice and make payment there.
Once you have paid please return to this thread to let us know. NOTE: If we do not hear back from you on this thread, we are not aware you have made payment, and will not know to recover the domain.
Thanks!

Hello!
Thanks for the reply! Yes the domain is simonpaulblack.com. I just paid to renew my domain. So if it can be recovered, then great!
I am also looking to reinstate my DNS records, as my domain was associated with a gmail account, but I’m not clear on how to do so. If you can help me with this, that would be great!
Lastly, I’ve been trying to send emails from my hotmail to my gmail since my domain expired, but they obviously don’t get through to my gmail inbox, but I also don’t get a message sent to my hotmail to say these emails bounced back either. Is there a way to retrieve any emails that may have been sent to my gmail while my domain was expried?
Thank you!

Thanks for confirming. I have emailed our registry partner to ask that they restore the domain to our control so we can add it back to your account. Usually the reply within 24 hours and we will update you here as soon as we know more.
Happy to help with DNS setup if need be, but usually your old settings are retained so they should be there once the domain is active under your account again.
Is there a way to retrieve any emails that may have been sent to my gmail while my domain was expried?
I’m not sure why you are not getting a bounceback message of some kind when you try to email that address, but I can confirm there is not a way to recover those. Any emails sent to your @simonpaulblack.com email address while the domain is inactive are lost I’m afraid.

Hey!
Update on my end, my gmail has been reactivated for simonpaulblack.com, and I even managed to receive all emails that were sent during the time of my email being inactive. So that’s great! and thanks so much for you guidance in helping me get my email working again.
The only thing I was wondering about is having simonpaulblack.com added back as a domain to my wordpress site. When I checked adding simonpaulblack.com under My Sites – Domains, it still has the the status of being recently expired, and to contact support for further details. I’m also wondering about setting up my domain for auto renewal, so I don’t have to manually renew it each year. I was under the impression that I previously had that set up, but for whatever reason it didn’t auto-renew this time around, nor did i receive any email from WordPress to remind me about renewing.
Thanks again for all your help so far. It’s saved me many a further headache while I didn’t have email for a while! :)

The domain has not been fully restored yet.
We’ll let you know as soon as it has been done.
This process can take about 2-3 days start to finish.
