I’m trying to renew my domain that expired in late February. How do I do this?

It starts with provided the domain URL which you have forgotten to do. :)
When you allow your domain expire, it then goes through a process that can take several months to complete described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/.

Hi there,
That domain has already been removed from our system and is currently in redemption with our registrar. It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. I’ll need you to agree to that fee before I can get the recovery process started.

Thanks for confirming. I’ve sent you a payment link via email. Once we receive your payment I can email our registrar to try and recover the domain. If the recovery fails, your payment will be refunded in full.

Your domain has been restored and is showing your site again.
It appears the credit card we had on file for you expired in November last year, which is why it did not renew automatically. Please make sure you update that on the Purchases page to prevent the domain from expiring again next year. You can add a new card by clicking the Update Payment Method link on this page.
