Renew expired primary blog without need for site redirect
-
I started blogging about 4 years ago and made a few mistakes early on in the blog names I chose. There are still 3 that are associated with my single WordPress account: suespatch.wordpress.com, susanbergersblog.wordpress.com, and backlanenotebook.wordpress.com.
SuesPatch is still operating but isn’t followed or maintained by me and might as well be deleted. BacklaneNotebook is the only active blog and for reasons I cannot now recall I pay each year for a Site Redirect to have susanbergersblog redirected to the active http://backlanenotebook.wordpress.com (as you can see by following the links).
My Domains shows backlanenotebook.wordpress.com as Primary, Expired and (Site Redirect), and susanbergersblog.wordpress.com as Never Expires and Default blog address. All I really want is to have a single blog, backlanenotebook.wordpress.com, Primary, Never Expiring, Default blog address, without paying for site redirection and risking the confusion of picking the wrong blog when editing etc.
I have already taken an Export of backlanenotebook.wordpress.com as a precaution when exploring the possibilities myself. The last thing I want to do of course is to lose any followers or material from my blog.
Can someone help me to achieve this simplification by listing the main steps that I need to follow? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @svpberger, here’s what I would do:
– Cancel the site redirect upgrade here:
https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades– Rather than delete the other two sites, “hide” them from yourself. That way if you should ever want to use one of those addresses again, it will be available, but it will be hidden from the site chooser and what not, so you’ll never accidentally post to the wrong site.
Alternatively, you can also go ahead and delete those sites by selecting the site here, and scrolling down to Delete. Just know that’s permanent, and those addresses will not be available again.
