  Another person setup my registration for my blog – I want to renew – my domain is johnhshea through godaddy and has been paid – how do I renew my wordpress – I go to the store page and it shows registation expirtes in two days –

  You’ll need to be logged in as the user who owns the domain in order to renew it.

  Alternatively, if that user requests it in this thread, I can move ownership of the upgrade to your account so you can renew it.

  I do own the domain, just is, someone else was logged in who set it up.

  The person who set it up is the person who needs to renew it.

  Your domain registration is paid into next year – that is good

  that means you are dealing with domain mapping – if you can’t contact the person that paid for the original mapping to transfer the mapping then you will probably need to wait for the mapping to expire then buy the domain mapping yourself – the bad news is there will be a day or two where your site might be erratic – but since you are going to be mapping to the same place it might not be too bad –
  I will flag this again for staff attention – maybe they have a better idea

  Upgrades are the property of the users who register them, so it would need to either be renewed by them, transferred to you via a request by them, or re-purchased by you after expiration.

  However, this particular domain mapping subscription is good through August 11, 2013, so you won’t have to worry about that until next year.
