  Why am I being charged for private registration and domain mapping when trying to renew my domain? I don’t want or need those things.

  Hi there,

  You’re being charged for Private registration because your domain already has it and so it is renewed with it. If you’d like to get rid of Privacy, you can go here:

  https://momswhowine.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades

  And click Cancel Private Registration.

  As for Domain Mapping, all domains which are registered with WordPress.com are required to have mapping in order to make our systems work correctly. It is not something which can be cancelled at all.
