Renew message – will I get 10 Gb more?

  I have used 93% of my 13 GB’s and have a notice to renew for $20.00. When I renew, do I get 10 more GB’s?

  Hi there,

  No, the renewal is to keep your 13GB of space. If you decide not to renew, you will not be able to add any more media files. Your current 93% will not be deleted though. If you would like more space, you can get an extra 25GB of space for $50/year by going to Store in your WP Admin Dashboard.

  Thanks for the quick reply.
  I have a photography blog. I never deleted the photos I’ve used in my posts from the media library. If I delete those photos (not the actual blog posts, just the photos in the media library)
  1) will it have any effect on the posts I’ve already published? I assume it would not.
  2) will that significantly help reduce the space I’ve used?

  Hi there,

  If you delete images in the Media > Library, the images will be removed from the posts as well. The posts are linking to images within the Media > Library, so when you remove them from the Media > Library they will be removed from the post as well.

  2) will that significantly help reduce the space I’ve used?

  If you decide to remove all the images, yes that will reduce the space, but note they will no longer appear in the posts.
