Hi there, I’m looking to see if my website has a backup somewhere. I tried to contact Jetpack but was unable to. I have maybe 12 blog posts on the site and want to save them if possible. Thank you!

    Hi,

WordPress.com automatically creates backups of all sites that they host, for emergency purposes. Members on any WordPress.com plan, including the Free plan, may backup their site on their own whenever they wish by using the Export tools, as described in the Export support page.

Sites on the Business and eCommerce plans also have access to download entire site backups from the Activity page through Jetpack, as described in the Backups and Restores support page.

  • Hi there,

I assume you’re speaking of https://chasingimmortality.com/, rather than shellydorani.wordpress.com indicated in your post above, correct?

We don’t have any backups of the data on chasingimmortality.com. Jetpack backups is a paid upgrade, and it doesn’t look like you’ve ever been subscribed to that. And while Jetpack allowed you to access your site’s content via your WordPress.com account, that content was at no point hosted on our servers, so we don’t have it on our end to restore for you.

The only people who might have a backup of your content is the hosting provider where you hosted that site, so try contacting them directly instead.

If they no longer have a backup of your content, then I’m afraid that site’s content is gone.
