Renew webiste with new user

Hi, I we’d like to renew an expired webiste – I actually made it for someone else and have added them as an Administrator to control, but it seems I am still responsible for updating the bill payment. Can I switch the responsibility to their details instead of mine? @ spearpacific.com – thanks j

I think you can transfer the upgrade to another user at
Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades
Upgrades can only be renewed by the owner.
I have flagged this for the staff to help
To help the staff, what account do you want the domain to be transferred to?
Please use clear words, from to this upgrade – then the staff can help the first time

One thing you’ll want to do is to transfer ownership of the site to the other person. As a co-admin she can do almost everything that you as the owner/administrator can, but not delete the site.
I’m not sure, but it also may affect who is paying for upgrades. Once she is the site owner, she should then be able to change the billing information.

I just noticed this on that support page:
A blog with domain upgrades will be processed manually by a member of WordPress.com support. All other upgrades will be transferred with the blog. Please be aware of this before you transfer your blog.
(The transfers I made did not include domain upgrades—only CSS)

Hmm, so looks like it will still fall back on me. I have three sites here, but only one is actually mine. I thought that might be the case. Thank you both for prompt answers :) j

No, you can transfer the sites to their rightful owners. This thread has been modlooked so staff will see it and assist you with the domain name transfer(s).

(It might be confusing, but I’m a volunteer moderator so cannot help with “back-end” issues like domain transfers)

Hi janetlilo, I’d be happy to help you with this. Just to confirm, the user who owns the domain upgrade is the only one who can renew it.
Can you please confirm what user you want to transfer the domain spearpacific.com to? Also, would you like to transfer just the domain name, or both the domain name and ownership of the blog itself?
