  Hi, I am trying to renew the website however, when I follow the link that the creator sent me, it just goes to upgrade and there is no option to pay for the renewal?

  The issue is that the WordPress.com user account that you are posting from is not the owner of that upgrade.

  Typically this happens because you ended up with a second WordPress.com user account at some point and THAT account is the one that was used to purchase the upgrade. You will need to log into that second account in order to renew the upgrade.
