  Hi there, my site expired and I’d like to renew it but I am only being offered the opportunity to ‘upgrade’ to more expensive plans. I do not want to upgrade, I only want to renew for the same price I paid previously. Anyone know how I can do this?

  Expired means over, dead, done, complete so we cannot renew anything that has expired. Please read Domain Expiration https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/

  We need details please.
  1. What is the domain URL?
  2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
  3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?
  4. When was the upgrade purchased?
  5. When did the expiration take place?

  Some time ago now (months ago) individual upgrades were discontinued. Only those who have domain mapping upgrades that have not expired are allowed to renew at the same rate. Others have to assign a plan and purchase an upgrade bundle.

  Add a plan for your site here: http://store.wordpress.com/plans

  You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, renew or cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades.

  If you are not logged in under the correct username account clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login under the correct username account.

  ok how can I find out if my domain is still in the redemption period?
  The domain URL was WeAreStrut.org, registered by (email visible only to moderators and staff) and expired on Sept 9 2016.
