Renewal
-
Hi
Our website was set up by Revd Carl Melville but he has now moved to a new parish. Please advise how I can receive renewal notifications and set new payment details.Best wishes Jane Corbett

Hi Jane, if the account is set up for your church, would the Revd be willing to give you access instead, or transfer the site to your account?
That may be the best method:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/Or, if he won’t need that account anymore, he can log in and update the email address to one for your church, then you can reset the password.
If you need to recover access without his help, here are the options available:

Hi
I have contacted the Revd but he has advised that when he set me up as an administrator he lost his ability to log in.
I’m not sure what I should do now as our renewal is due soon and I don’t want to lose the site.
I have limited knowledge of I.T. and am starting to panic.
Best wishes Jane

Hi there,
If he still has access to the email connected to the owner account, he can reset the password to regain access:
http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If his information is connected to the domain subscription, he would need to update that information himself so that he can give you access.
I would provide him with the password reset link and see if he can regain access to the account. That will definitely be the best (and possibly only) way to get access to the domain.
He can also use the transaction ID as proof of ownership if he no longer has access to the email:
https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id

Thanks,
