  Hello. The previous admin of the site delegated access to me but is still receiving emails about the url expiring. I’ve added my card as a backup but they received another email. Is there anything additional I need to do to ensure the site does not go down?

  That domain belongs to a different account here, not the one you’re currently logged in under.

  First, log out of WordPress.com at https://wordpress.com/me and then log back in under the email address that the renewal email was sent to.

  If you do not recall the password for the correct account, we have some options for you at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

  Once you’re logged in under the correct account, the domain can be renewed at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

  Is there anyway to remove the different account and assign the domain to me? The old user wants nothing to do with this domain anymore.

  Yes, the owner of the domain can transfer the site and any attached purchases (like the domain) to you by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
