renewal
-
Greetings: I renewed my website tonight andrewpegoda.com. I pay for the premium bundle. Right after I hit renew, the settings changed under “Dashboard”–>”store”–>”my upgrades.”
My “Custom Design” & “”No Ads” & “10GB” & “VideoPress” it says “Status: Expiring: This upgrade will expire in 3 months on May 11, 2014” and has prices for which these can be renewed. These are supposed to be included in the premium bundle. I want to be sure when May 11 gets here it doesn’t mess up my website.
Please advise.
Thank you

Sorry. This just has me anxious. Found one new thing. As soon as I clicked “renew” and got my receipt for the Premium theme it changed from saying “WordPress.com Premium” at the top to saying “Domain: andrewpegoda.com” – for some reason it appears that when it clicked renew now and renewed the premium theme and payed that price it did something such that the premium part didn’t go through.
Thank you

One more thing: (trying to figure out the problem myself)
I did cancel the premium theme for another website of mine, as indicated by this confirmation email I received:
“Please confirm you would like to cancel the following upgrade:
WordPress.com Premium on https://toentertainathought.wordpress.comThis will not cancel the upgrades in the bundle…..”
Did the two cross paths incorrectly or something on the WordPress website?
Anyway, hope it can be fixed.
Thanks so much. WordPress is a wonderful platform.

Okay, sorry- last one, I think I have everything kind of fixed, except that it is saying it’s going to charge me another $99 on June 30 in addition to the $99 I paid today. The renewal was due in May (I started the website May of last year) but wanted to do it early. Now it also has $99 listed for the Premium and $26 for the Domain – instead of both combined. Please advice. Again, thank you.

Hi there,
I made some adjustments to your upgrades that should fix everything. Here’s a summary of your current upgrades:
Blog: andrewpegodadotcom.wordpress.com
Upgrade:- WordPress.com Premium (expires 2/14/15)
- Domain: andrewpegoda.com (bundled with Premium upgrade)
- Theme: Elemin (never expires)
Upgrades page: https://andrewpegodadotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades
Blog: toentertainathought.wordpress.com
- Domain: toentertainathought.com (expires 7/30/14)
- Theme: Elemin (never expires)
Upgrades page: https://toentertainathought.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades
So, I extended your Premium bundle to 2/14/15. I, then, bundled your domain andrewpegoda.com with your Premium bundle so the two would renew together going forward. Since the domain toentertainathought.com is on a different blog than the Premium bundle, that domain cannot be bundled with the Premium upgrade. Does that make sense? The domain and Premium upgrade must be on the same blog.
Let me know if anything seems off or if you need anything else!

Thank you!
Everything basic looks good, except for one.
First, andrewpegodadotcom was originally created in May 2013, I got the notice that it would renew automatically or I could do it early, I did it early. So instead of expiring 2/2015 (and this is also what it seems to say under “my upgrades”), shouldn’t the next period expire May 2015?
Under “Dashboard,” “Store,” “My Domains” it does says that the domain andrewpegoda.com will renew in May 2015.Thanks for your help.

Hey!

Yes, you’re correct. The domain andrewpegoda.com is set to expire on 5/11/15. However, since it is bundled with the Premium bundle, which is set to expire on 2/14/15, it will automatically be renewed early. This doesn’t cut any time off of the life of your domain. It will always be extended another year from the expiration date. So, when the bundle is renewed in February of 2015, the domain will be renewed through May of 2016. Does that make sense?
-
Hey!!
The Premium bundle really should also expire in 5/2015 because I first bought it in May 2013 (good for May 2013-May 2014), renewed in earlier this week for May 2014-May 2015.
When I renewed it early, is when WordPress uncombined the packages and did all kinds of weird things. I was able to get some of it working again by transferring the package from ToEntertainAthought (which I am not going to renew when it expires) to AndrewPegoda.com.
Thanks again!

Hey Andrew,
Not a problem. I went ahead and moved the expiration for the Premium bundle to 5/11/15 as well as shown here:
https://andrewpegodadotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades
Currently, toentertainathought.com is set to expire on 7/30/14 and is not set to auto renew meaning you will not automatically be charged for the upgrade moving forward.
Let me know if you need anything else!
