Renewal?

    I received an email that my account was going to expire on March 31st of this year. I just now went to the Dashboard and renewed my account for one year. Now it says my account will expire on March 1st next year. So…did I lose a month by renewing early? Shouldn’t it renew next year on March 31st instead of March 1st since I had already paid through Marh 31st of this year?

    Hi there,

    When you have auto-renewals configured, and your upgrade includes a domain, that payment is processed early (30 days ahead of expiration) as a fail-safe.

    That way, if there is any kind of problem with the payment going through (if the card is out of date or due to an unforeseen issue on our end) there is no risk of losing the domain, and plenty of time to get thing straightened out buy the true expiration date of march 31 2015.

    If you are ever in doubt, you can see your domain expiration date by going to Store>My Domains in your site’s Admin Dashboard: https://janw07.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
