Renewal cancellation

    My account automatically renewed WITHOUT WARNING and my bank account was charged. We cannot afford the renewal right now so we tried to CANCEL IT And we were only refunded $2.88!!!! We need to have the full refund immediately before we get other fees incurred on our account because of the charge. We were given ZERO notice of your renewal charge. Or we would have canceled it before.

    What is the domain URL you refer to?

    Refunds and cancelling upgrades

    • WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund from date of purchase on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
    • The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
    • It takes from 1 – 2 weeks or 7 – 10 business days for the refund to be received after canceling an upgrade and requesting one.

    You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew.     Canceling domains
    It is important to know that cancelled domains are not released by the registrar immediately. Also note that here’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use a domain again as it may be sold to someone else. Therefore you should cancel a domain, if and only if, you are sure you do not wish to use it again.

    If that does not resolve your issue. Provide the following first:

    The URL of the domain in question.

    The username account that registered the site in question and purchased any upgrades for it.

    Whether or not you wish to use the domain on another site.

    I’ve refunded everything. Please understand, though, that you will lose access to the domain. If it’s not uncanceled and renewed right away, it will go into redemption which costs time or money or sometimes the domain name itself.
