    You have send me 16 mails to ask me to renew my domain and in no one of them you have mentionned that it would cost me an extra 80 dollars if I did it late!! I certainly want to renew my domain but I couldn’t pay it earlier! Now that I can, it cost me an extra 80 dollars! I certainly don’t have that money!! I was until now very happy of your product but I am very desapointed about this discrimination!

    Hi there,

    Once domains expire, we have to pay to keep them active. We provide a service that allows users who accidentally allow their domains to expire to recoup them. This is at a cost to us, but it’s a beneficial service to those who need it. As a result, we have to recoup that cost somehow, which is where the redemption fee comes in.

    That’s like not paying your electric bill and then being annoyed at the power company for turning off your electricity.

    I hope that you can see that we cannot continue to pay for your domain once it expires (without a cost to you) and that this isn’t discrimination, but a fair process that allows people who intentionally or accidentally allow their domain to expire to keep their domains and avoid losing them to another party.
