    If I purchase the Pro Plan for a client (and then they will of course become an admin of the account) will they have access to my credit/debit card?

    Am I required to keep a card on file?

    Can they manage their own payment after my assistance during the first year? Or would they need to open a new account and ‘transfer’ to their own ‘pro plan’?

    I think it would be better if your client paid for the site and domain with their account and their card as auto renewal would be enabled for 11 months time to ensure continuity of the site. They could make you an Admin (with your guidance if necessary) so you could work on setting up the site.

    It would be possible for you to pay for the site and remove your credit card details and auto renewal after the refund window had passed but remember then your account would still be the owner of the domain and it would be complicated and messy to change the site and domain to a different person.
