  Hi there,

  Are you sure you want your domain to expire?

  We don’t recommend letting a domain lapse if you want to keep it, for the following reasons:

  * Domain expirations don’t happen immediately. Registrars have a grace period of 30–90 days during which they’ll hold on to the domain and give the owner a chance to renew it after it’s expired. The domain isn’t usable by anyone else during this period, and it wouldn’t be pointing to your site during this time either.

  * Once that grace period is up, there is a good chance that the domain could get purchased by someone else before you have a chance to re-register it, in the hopes that they can charge you more to get the domain back.

  The best solution if you want to keep the domain is to keep it registered with us, and then point your domain to anywhere you want. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always transfer to another registrar and still point the domain to wherever you want.

  However, if you are sure you no longer want the domain, please reply to confirm.
