    Hello there,

    I missed the due date of my wordpress site renewal notice and now I am trying to make the payment. However, the link is in the email I received in July don’t seem to work anymore and I can’t find the right option of payment on your site. I only see a 5$/month option and I used to pay 24$ a year to get my site online.

    Could you tell me how to proceed to get back my site online with the same plan I used to have?

    Hi, @annejuliedudemaine,

    According to whois, your site lawannabecuisine.com has been removed from WordPress.com’s system and is now in redemption with their registrar.

    The good news is that there is a possibility that WordPress.com staff may be able to recover the domain, while in redemption, but their registrar charges an $80 late renewal fee to restore it.

    I’m going to tag staff to confirm the amount has not changed and that I have the information correct.

    If you know you want to proceed if that amount is correct, you need to :
    1)Agree to pay the $80 late renewal fee to recover your domain, should it still be available.
    2) Confirm the paid plan that you would like to use going forward (https://wordpress.com/pricing/)

    Once you confirm that you wish to proceed, the staff member will create a payment request for you for the appropriate amount. Once paid, they may begin the process with their domain registrar. Typically takes 2-3 days in total.

    Any other options? Yes, you may wait until the domain is released, but you may not be able to get it back if it is purchased at auction during this time.

    Time is of the essence if you do decide to try and recover the domain, so let staff know how you would like to proceed, as soon as possible.

    Hi there,

    As @christinemaze mentioned, lawannabecuisine.com is now in a redemption period.

    Please let me know if you want to proceed with paying the late renewal fee in the attempt to reclaim the domain name. This option is time sensitive because the domain can be auctioned off to an expired domain bidder.

    I would suggest enabling the auto-renew option so that you will not have to worry about losing control over your domain in the future.

    Hi there,

    I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore lawannabecuisine.com to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back. If I am successful, I can send you a manual payment request form for you to repurchase the domain.
